Alternatively, besides a metal straightedge and a stringline, what other tools are people using to do this?
Thanks in advance.

4 x 48" Plastic levels or anything of equal length from 24" to 48" 1 laser level pointer, 2 measuring tapes / Bars.
Here is what I developed over the years. Works very well and very quick to get measurements.
Camber / caster is the easy part. You can purchase a gauge or use a smart phone etc. Toe / Thrust is the hardest thing to get accurately. This is a long read but it covers all the steps. Once you get the idea it takes 3-5 minutes to get all the alignment readings.
For making the changes is a whole different step.
