Default 78 Cabin heat problem fixed

My 78 was almost uncomfortable to drive because of the cabin heat, I fixed it completely by installing a vintage air unit, putting dynamat and dynaliner on the floors and the firewall, wrapped the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold to the crossmember, the wrap made 100 degree difference on the pipe checking it with a infrared thermometer, I think my old a/c heater system was worn out, the vacuum actuators and doors didn't work properly, where the heater core tubes went thru the firewall was supposed to have a seal and didn't letting a bunch of hot air into the box then out the doors that weren't sealing properly. Fixing all of the factory stuff would do just as good as a vintage air unit but would probably cost more and be tough to figure it all out. It is like a different car to drive now.

I hate to quote Borat these days, but I can’t help myself from saying “great success!”
