The original dash pad on my 73 is in good condition, except the perforated area for the speakers. I removed that material, but having a hard time finding a speaker grill, or a way to cover my speakers in that area. Would appreciate any suggestions of what others have done, thank you.
You could look for a set of early Camaro grills from the kick panels, they would be square 4x6 and more or less flat perforated tin so would appear about the right era

Ironically, I have an original set of speaker grills from a 69 Camaro that had a 4 speaker AM radio, how rare is that option? Because that area on my dash pad is not flat, they wouldn't set well. The search continues. Thanks, and Merry Christmas!
My dash speakers hadn't been used in years. put them in the kick panels with updated stereo years ago. when my dash pad started cracking out at the perforated holes. re-skined the dash pad with a thin layer of foam and then a thin grained vinyl.
maybe not factory, but no more cracks. and kick panels come perforated from factory .

Actually, the small dash speakers are located perfectly for getting mid-range and high frequencies reflected off the [glass] windshield and directly to the listener's ears. High frequencies do not bounce around a 'soft' environment well. Kickpanels are much better for lower/bass frequencies. Combo of 'hi' dash speakers and 'low' kickpanel speakers is perfect for the C3's 'oddball' shaped interior.
Mine was also cracked at the speaker holes and I recovered it years ago with one of those "skins" that glued to the original and you had to re-cut the 8752 (approx) holes with a little cutting tool and a demel... Looks like they are new versions available bu are considerable more expensive than a set of speaker grills if you can find something that's thin enough to be reshaped to match the dash

Are there any differences between '68-'77 dash pads? I am planning to use an ABS cover when change my '74's interior to red, but they don't offer it in red for '74.
Guy did a beautiful on that dash pad! Still hoping to find a speaker grill that I could apply on top. Seems strange none came with the speakers I bought. Guess they thought not needed because of the factory perforations in the dash. Thanks for sharing!
Do a search online (Google) for "speaker grilles car stereo". There are several sites with lots of options. You could recolor the speaker grille and frame with matching interior vinyl dye (or paint with elastomer added). I would think that attaching the grille frames with clear Gorilla glue would 'do the deed'. It won't be "original", but it will look great.
