Yes I need the 2 seals that install in the back of the compressor. Rock Auto lists the 2 compressor seals with inserts. The Advance Auto kit doesn’t appear to have the inserts. Which is correct?
Unless money is really tight, I would suggest that you pitch that 'pancake' compressor now and install a conversion kit with a Sanden compressor. That A/C compressor design was not long-lived because it had problems. Not to mention you need to re-install expensive R-4 Freon in your stock system. Just sayin....
Just for 'grins', check out the conversion kits from ClassicAutoAir....
I remember mine came with many washers.. one is obvious but the other needs to be right height.. its like a washer with rubber to fill the space..and not leak.. almost like you need to fit by color as well..

That compressor is not a sandon compressor or doesn't look to be, it says Delco Air
When I look up your car on RockAuto it doesn't show those (the ones in your pic) seals for that compressor
The ACDelco part number is 152541GM and in the list of vehicles it shows 1977 to 1996 corvette.
The metal inserts are not for that compressor, your hose set looks to have the boss to retain the seals (hard to tell from the pic) and maintain header alignment
You don’t need the inserts. The correct seal look like thick metal washers with a bulge of flexible material on the inner diameter. On rock auto look at the O-ring/seal kit. It’ll have a bunch of the green O-rings and a couple of different sizes of the metal-washer types. The kit I got had green ones and red ones; I don’t remember the sizes. But, since I only have red ones left-over, I installed green ones(size?). The suction screen goes into the manifold at the end of the hose; measure that inner diameter to get the right size screen. Both of the 78’s I did the ac on were different sizes. You don’t need the install kit. I only have the kit because it was the same price as one screen on eBay. Nylog red is for R-12; different lube for 134. I like R-12 because it gets colder and 134 is already obsolete for new cars.

yes that's it..one red one green.. you need to measure different thicknesses and use the correct one..
Ok thanks for the replies. I do see a complete gasket / seal kit listed on Rock Auto for my 81. It’s listed as Four Seasons part 26729 and compatible with both R12 and 134a. I’m not sure if the picture accurately depicts all of the items in the kit. However, it states its a complete kit. For $9 including shipping I’ll order the kit.
