hello all
new to this forum
new to owning corvettes
I’m in Australia and not many driving around!
My kick down is playing up,
When I have 25-30% throttle the cars happy as soon an I give it more the kick down kicks in and drops a gear
Any help on how to adjust it would be great!
Cheers!
Switch is down on the gas pedal, (electric)
Pull the switch tab all the way out and then (car turned off of course) press the pedal all the way to the floor
You can test by turning the key on (not started) and you should hear the click down at the trans when you have someone press the pedal to the floor

with only 25-30% throttle it may need a new Vacuum Modulator or the Modulator adjusted . Check the kick down switch but my bet is on the Vacuum Modulator
If I am reading your post correctly, that is exactly how the kickdown is supposed to work. If you push the accelerator to WOT, the THM-400 transmission WILL drop to the next lower range, unless the engine rpm's will be higher than it is SAFE to do (when the trans downshifts, the engine rpm will increase significantly).
If that is not what you are asking, please modify your question and re-post it.

Sounds a lot like he's saying as soon as he's past 30% it kicks down... not wot "When I have 25-30% throttle the cars happy as soon an I give it more the kick down kicks in and drops a gear"

welcome from a fellow Ozzy. There a quite a few of us here. Where are you based?
yes, there a a lot of vettes downunder, ok, not as many as the US, each state has at least 1 possibly 2 clubs.
the club i'm in has almost 200 members, (not including wives/gf etc), and some of them have multiple cars.
in fact, all going well with the Covid situation, the Oz Nationals will be held in Canberra at Easter this year.
