If you are asking about how many RPM an auto trans can handle, I would tell you that if built properly, 6000-6500 should be no problem. Auto trannies have larger diameter parts (can you say, "torque converter"?) that generate a LOT of centrifugal forces trying to tear them apart. And exploding converter is NOT a pretty sight!
For specific info, you need to talk directly with the tech folks at whichever trans brand you are considering.
What’s the most speed I can get for an automatic that will hook up with the engine? It’s also making about 550hp
ok. welcome aboard. most speed you can get. an overdrive with the lowest final drive ratio coupled to a rear with the lowest ratio will give you the most speed. with 550 hp you should easily be able to get airborne. the problem is landing. now, what do you have for a car, and where do you think you can go that fast?
doubt it. i don't mean to put OP down, but it sounds like he is in over his head. and needs much more homework done before he starts digging into his car. more explanation on what he wants and expects. and where and how he will be using this car.
