A Frankenstein 454 could mean that some or all the accessory brackets and pulleys could be a mismatch in aftermarket or oem parts not intended for use on a Corvette.
Another common issue on the big blocks is that the oem lower alternator brackets will crack which will allow some movement of the alternator especially during acceleration.
