Default Need Some AC part location help

Hello I’m in need of a helping hand. I’m replacing the evaporator and accumulator in my 81. Like a dumb *** I didn’t take any pictures of where everything was located. This picture is of the bracket that attaches some how to the evaporator housing and holds the accumulator securely. Problem is I cannot remember how it was attached to the evaporator. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The thinner end of the bracket is peeking though. This is the best picture I can get, not much room. Hope it helps

One of the problems that you might be having is that the generic evaporator could have a fitting that was not on your old one, and that conflicts with the factory bracket. I had to modify mine.

Also, taking out the "shark gill" on the passenger side gives you another way to access that area.
