I purchased a set of stainless brake hoses and was going to replace front and rear. I believe I got them from Summit, they are Russell's brand. I'm looking at the hose on my car and it looks like it has two female ends... But my new hose has one female and one male end? Is my new hose wrong, or am I missing something? Here is the old hose still installed on my car.
Here is the new stainless hose I wanted to put on.

That made me laugh!
When you removed the clip it fit right.
I haven't done it yet... And I don't think I need to remove the clip? I think the clip is holding the fitting from the other side which is female thread... So the male thread end of my hose will go there. I also looked it up in my aim and it seems to show that as well. If I think of it, I'll snap a picture this weekend when I do the work to illustrate.

Yep. As I recall that clip in the right side of your picture holds the brass block to the bracket. The block has a female thread.
