Rebuilt engine won't start

So shop tweaked the timing and adjusted the carb - engine still has a little shake/rumble at low idle - he thinks I might have a few valves that are too tight - make sense?
Adjust now or run it a bit?

I would adjust them if they are too tight. If they hang open you can burn them or ruin a seat

I have a timing light - will be back here soon - the shop is actually awesome, one of the owners has an old car - fixed me up for free
They speculated they are too tight - I adjusted to zero lash and then 1/2 turn, will get new gaskets and redo just in case

check the manufacturers specs to make sure that 1/2 turn isnt too much. Its a hydraulic lifter cam, correct?
