So I have fixed the timing 37 total. However, she still dies if I press the gas all the way down from a complete stop? After fixing the timing I went back over the carb parts (jets, idle, air/fuel, acceleration pump(0.015 gap at full throttle), etc) what else could cause this?
Put a larger squirter in it now…..it probably has a 28 in it now…..go to a 35 and see if it changes.
You may be into some jetting at this point too…..too small of a primary jet makes booster signal slow….slow pulling fuel through the jet….that combined with too small a squirter and it will stall when stabbed.
Have you addressed the pressure at the carb? Is it at 7 psi when running?
My real advice would be to throw that Street Avenger carb off of a cliff and see how far it rolls on the way down…..worst carb in their whole lineup and surprised they can still get away with selling them after this many years…..

The squirted going bigger huh? I thought that it would’ve been too big because of how it squirts but it still dies completely? I’ve changed the jets up and down I actually have recently and they haven’t been the problem I just had to jet down one size because of the temp jump here. Pressure is good now running 6-7 consistently.
I would love to do that with the carb I just do not have the $500-$600 to buy a new one currently
Hey Jeb what is wrong with the Street Avenger? I think that is what I have. We have not really messed with it at all yet. I'd like to know what problems they are known to have and I may ditch it myself.

They come with the most wacked out jetting….4 jet sizes apart as opposed to 8…..the metering blocks have something done to them that prohibits ample fuel flow through it….so they always run lean…..
The big problem is the metering blocks….otherwise they are pretty much the same as other dual feed Holley’s……but I quit fooling with them…..the Truck Avenger is 10x better carb….it has real metering blocks and small billet annular boosters on the primaries…..very quick response….and they tune well…..
Another gripe is that the finish on them looks like **** after a few years….they corrode terrible in the elements….the zinc plated units do not…..
Street Avengers are $500 now…..spend that money on something else.
