I'm pretty hung up on 10 vs 30 micron. I had a 30 micron filter on my eagle and look at what got through to the carb after a couple of months:
So I just put in a 2 micron filter for a Caterpillar diesel. Hopefully it does the job for me:
Do you have a part number for that fuel filter adapter? That would work well on the frame between the tank and the steel line and I wouldn't have to take things apart to change it.

Sorry, no I don't, it was custom made by my husband who didn't want to spend the money on a retail one. Adapters for the 1R-0750 filters are available on ebay, just do a search for cat fuel filter 1R-0750 and some of the adapters should pop up. There are multiple different adapters for different fuel line sizes.
Hmm... Are there any AN pre and post filters, (100 and 10 microns) that are small in-line filters? I've been looking since the beginning of this adventure, to avoid any alterations, but couldn't find any.
I bought a holley type dual feed rail that summit sells that has a built in fuel gauge and a removable brass fuel filter inside. I have the popular generic black and aluminum 30 micron AN fitting filter but couldn't find a convenient place to mount it so I went with this option instead. I'll know when the filters plugging up as my gauge reading should decrease when that happens.

After I saw what "pryia" posted, showing the Cat diesel filter, I was going to suggest a Fram HPG-1, but I just took a look, and it turns out they're now discontinued.....

Hey everyone, the filter came in about 3 days ago but had to wait again because I needed to also buy a female/female AN coupling for the other end to go on. Fits great thank you again so much, really saved me a decent amount of cash, only for it to go into a bunch of other little $h!+ for the car lol
