I have a 1980 and a friend I just pulled the engine to replace it with a BluePrint 400ci. While we're at it, I'm replacing the accessory drive with a serpentine setup from a 4.3L Vortech. My friend has the parts and says it will fit.
I know I will need a reverse flow water pump.
I'm looking on Summit's site and I have a few questions for those of you in the know:
Do I get Short of Long?
Is the pilot diameter .625 (most common it seems)?
What inlet diameter? 1.800", 1.875" or 1.75"?
Any other thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.
post a clear pic or two of water pump PULLEY ... want to see if it has a BIG pilot hole (for late pump w/ BIG threaded "pilot" for threaded fan clutch)
