Default brake pedal adjustment

Did a power brake conversion on my 69 BB. Works great, but having difficulty with brake pedal adjustment. At full stop, it's about an inch from the floor. We have turned out the clevis as much as possible but hasn't helped much. Is there a longer push rod or clevis option that would solve problem?

Thanks
Ken

Which hole do you have the push rod connected to on the brake pedal? I've read that for power brakes that the lower one is correct.

Also, the pushrod that goes between the power brake booster and the master cylinder is available in different lengths, and these different lengths are used with different configuration master cylinders. You may need to measure and check the clearance/distance between the end of the pushrod as installed in the booster and the contact point against the master cylinder's primary piston. The clearance between the end of the pushrod and the master cylinder piston must be 1/32" - 1/16".

Yes, there is a longer clevis available. It is about 1/2" longer that will raise the pedal height about 2" because of the geometry, to the height of my clutch pedal.
I'm not sure where to get one. I got mine when I bought a new booster from Corvette Stainless
Steel Brakes (http://www.cssbinc.com/browseproducts/) after contacting the owner of the co. He sent me one at no charge.
Also, they and others have a tool that helps accurately measure the booster rod/master cylinder gap. It's about $15 and makes the job a lot easier.

Because of the covid bs, you may not be able to get through to them on the phone.
You might be better off going to their ebay site and send them a private message.

when you pump up the brakes while it running does it increase in height? When the motor is off and you step on the brakes is the pedal pretty high? It should barely move, then when you start the car is should slowly drop
