Not a design flaw, but an user installation manual flaw. Wilwood needs to add to the installation instructions that the rear calipers need to be held vertical to bleed properly before mounting. I'm sure they could also source the correct length bolts so as not to have the supplied bolts lock the rotor without shimming. Redesigning the caliper to get a proper bleed in the installed position is also an option. If GM did it, why not Wilwood?
Agreed 100%. Looking at post 9 & 10 above it is very obvious to see that the Dodge caliper is mounted at approximately twice as much of an angle as the rear C3 caliper. Obviously both cars are using original caliper mounting brackets and angles.
Wilwood should be able to easily figure out at what angle this problem becomes critical, even with the "undercuts" mentioned, and should supplement it's instructions. We figured it out by trial and error!
Maybe they should send the forum a check for "R&D work" LOL!

It is almost every aftermarket part and repo part manufacturer. I am going thru the same issue with McLeod, Howe and Lokar.
It's the old 50% rule all over again. A lot of the parts only halfway fit. Here is a phone quote from a manufacturer from yesterday: "Oh yeah, we know, sometimes you have to move the fuse box over a little bit and grind the hole in the firewall a little bigger" Are you kidding me? Why can't they just design it properly the first time?
The days of an aftermarket part fitting as good as a GM part are long gone.
If you want to "mod" the car you just have to be willing to deal with this stuff.

Wil wil wilwood days
Wil wil wilwood days.
now I got that damn song stuck in my head.
Does Wildwood, NJ still do those car show parades? Haven't been there in a long, long time.
Always wanted to do one of those Doo Wop architecture tours if those mid-century "Googie" style hotels and restaurants still exist today. They had grandiose mid-century names like "The Riviera" or "Bel Air" or "The Royal Hawaiian"... even though it was a New Jersey beach.
