Default Power window stuck in down position

Been working on both doors, new handles, controllers etc,. I had pulled the inspection/electric motor access plates to service the doors. I decided to raise then lower the right side window to check operation. It went up and down fine but now won't budge. The motor is getting voltage to both raise and lower at the plug. The seat belt lamp dims when I try to raise that window (like it's pulling way too much current).
It seems I shouldn't have lowered it with that plate off. Is there an easy fix to un-jam this window?

Alright. I got the window up & made a promise to myself never to lower it again without the plate on.
I found this thread: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-position.html
by newvetman & the suggestion by peterbuilt saved the day.....
For those who search & find this post I submit this work-around/fix to try before spending the long green on a window motor you might not need.

If you've removed the plate on a working power window then lower it all the way and it gets stuck in the down position, try this:
Get your jumper cables.
Make a short (5" or 6") jumper wire with a female spade lug on one end that you can slide on to the electric motors connectors. Skin back the insulation on the other end..
Unplug the electrical connector on the power window motor in question.
On the right side window motor plug your jumper into the terminal thats oriented up/down (raises the window). (the other side to side terminal is to lower).
Connect your jumper cable to the cars battery being sure to make sure the other ends aren't touching.
Connect the neg end to a good door metal ground. (I used the door control)
Touch the jumper you made up to the POS jumper cable end while using your foot to push the end of the motor in. Not much but enough to hold it steady.. You'll see some sparks but,,,,
Your window should raise........
If it doesn't try the other terminal on the motor..
Carry On.

When it happened to me, I tapped the motor with a hammer while pressing the up switch. I also had a battery charger connected to the battery to provide full power.
Glad to hear you got fixed
