Anyone ever do the Auto to Tremec TKX 5spd swap with a Quickjack. I have a TKX 500 coming at the end of the month, and would like to make my life easier. Thinking my only other option here is Jackstands
Any opinions appreciated.

I didn't do any conversion but I did drop and remove a TH400 from my 72 using the 5000 quickjack. (OLD STYLE)
I did need to drop the trans right down onto a piece of cardboard on the floor in order for it to be slid out from under the car as there was just enough room and it couldn't be put onto a roller tray or anything. If I did it again I'd add a block (not stacking the 2 rubber ones) or a set of the SUB stands and get that extra few inches which would have made it slightly easier

Do your self a favor and purchase race ramps for this install. I have used the quickjack for the T56 Magnum but the quickjack gets in the way installing the crossmember. and moving the transmission in from the side of the car.
I used race ramps on all 4 wheels. This gives the same clearance under the car.

quick jack and removable crossmember....best tranny help out there. Then find a really good tranny jack that takes up little space. The scissors style aee the best but are jumpy unless you grease them liberallly
I use my Quickjacks all the time, but when it comes to trans work, I prefer to have the sides open.
I raise the car up with the Quickjack, then set it on cribbing and heavy jack stands so that I can pull the Quickjacks out of the way.
This lets me get under the car from the side, which is much easier that sliding in from the front/rear.
If you pull them out, have a couple buddies stand on them while you lower them.
When I'm ready to take the car down, I have someone stand on each jack while I raise them and set them on the lower locks. Then I slide them under and raise them up to lift the car off the stands.
It works pretty well, but we've done it a few times and have refined it a bit each time.
