I used them on two projects, 66 Mustang and 67 Nova with great results. Both had big cams so no vacuum for power brakes.

To add to Mooser's thread...

Why the 1995 Astro/Safari Hydro Boost unit?
  • Bolt pattern on the 1995 Astro/Safari Hydro-Boost firewall mount four bolt pattern matches the stock C3 Corvette vacuum booster/pedal mount four bolt pattern with no alterations.
  • The depth of the 1995 Astro/Safari Hydro-Boost unit is similar to the stock C3 Corvette vacuum booster depth sitting the master cylinder and brake lines close to the stock positions.
  • Bolt pattern on the 1995 Astro/Safari Hydro-Boost master cylinder mount matches the 1977-82 Corvette master cylinder.
    • Use 1977-82 Corvette brake master cylinder (Raybestos MC39052) because it has a shallower piston hole for a shorter pushrod compared to the 1968-76 brake master cylinder (Deeper).
  • Spring and pushrod kit (Hydro Boost to MC)
Mine is plumbed in with my Rack and Pinion steering with filter and cooler and I have a current list of parts and pieces that I used if needed...

Cheers,
Richard

Looks like I can get what I need for about $150. I don't need fancy just functionality.

The Hydro-Boost unit itself was cost effective, it was the hoses and fittings that really added up...

I used the Hydratech kit on my C3. Would do so again. Complete kit, complete instructions, great to work with.
