I’m new to the corvette owner world. I’ve always loved them and recently bought a 1980 corvette which needs a small amount of attention. Question is my blower switch for air and heat does nothing. Thoughts on steps to solve my problem?
Fuse? Ground on blower? Try power and ground directly to blower. There is a relay for high speed and resistor for lower sppeds. Work backwords to switch.
here are some diagrams if helpful…its a 79 but probably close.
post some pics of your ride!! And blower area..
FYI...
The drawing above page 8A-38 is a NON A/C equipped car.
Notice, there is no High Speed Blower Relay in the circuit.
To OP, with car OFF and the fan speed switch in the LO position and the upper slider control in the OFF position do you hear your blower motor running with ignition switch in the ON position?
The intent was to keep air circulating in the cabin even if the heater controls are in the OFF position.

this.
To expand on above, there is no "fan off" position. Was designed to continually run on low speed.
i pulled the connection on top of the blower motor to shut it aff decade ago. No fan, less heat in the cabin. Heat soak through the floor was enough for me.
