Hi there, I was rereading your message, and you had mentioned an early and late build for the 77 Vette. I wanted to know how I could indicate if mine was a late or an early build. I have the VIN number.

VIN 27373 and later would be considered a late build on at least electrical items.
The photo above is from a late 77 dash harness with manual transmission extension harness connected.
Yellow wire from ignition switch
Solid Purple Wire to starter solenoid.
If you had a early build 77 the yellow wire would be a purple wire with white stripe.
The solid purple wire is the same early & late.
