So my son and I have been rebuilding his 1976 C3, and we are pretty much done. He’s wanting some new wheels that look like these, or atleast similar. I have a C3 as well and know from experience that it’s really easy to get wheels that are slightly too big, and will rub when turning. We’d rather stick with stock sizes.
Do any of you have recommendations for where to look for some wheels similar to these, but in stock size?
X-2 on the Rocket Racing 18 inch, rims. When I bought my 79, L-82, 4 speed, last year, it is what the PO had on the car. He gave me the OE rims, with the car, but the R R rims were already in the car. After having the car for a while, I needed to replace the tires. He had 265/40-18 in the front, and 275/40-18 on the rear. Both Goodyear supercar 3, F1 tires. He was Autocross racing the car. I am not interested in Autocrossing the car, and want to drive it around town, and do some car shows with it. So, I put a set of Continental extreme contact DWS 6 on there. I just put 265/40-18, all around. BC of the offset, being different, front to rear, I can not rotate tires, but that all good. I have been happy with the continentals so far. Good grip, and they ride good too.
