PS Control Valve Ball Stud Grease
I've searched all my manuals and the C1-C4 forums for information about what type of grease should be used when rebuiling the PSCV ball stud / dry-side adapter end. Most just say to "apply grease" with no specifics about exactly what type to use. Lots of info about the zerk fitting or plug, the presence or absence of the grease relief slit in the dust boot, and not adding too much grease through the zerk (if present) or the seals could be damaged - but no grease specifications.
The Willcox video shows what appears to be a clearish thin vasoline concistency type of product and the CSSBinc instruction document shows a pinkish grease.
I have White Lithium Grease (white/creamy) in a squeeze tube, High Temp Disc Brake Wheel Bearing Grease (red/jellish) in a can and Lucas Red N Tacky multi-purpose grease in a cartridge tube. They're all NLGI #2 if that matters....
Any of these work for PSCV ball stud grease???
Can I use one of those red greases, the white lithium or should I go buy something else???
Thanks for any insight...
Paul
