I got the parts today. It’s a wasted of part where they send you weights and bushings and you can’t use them. Only thing out of 30 msd part is the light springs copper in color which brings it all in at 3000. I called msd and said what a waste it is but they said it’s just way they are packaged. Anyway, springs are installed and tomorrow or Saturday I will fire her up and retime and retune. I don’t even know what the even pack those black springs maybe for track and race purpose. Msd also said that 8428 kit is mainly for GM stock HEI where they need to use the bushing and weights. For my msd street fire, only the spring is needed.

You should keep it all on one thread. YOu are going to get the same questions everytime you repost and you will pull out even more hair answering the same questions multiple time

my apologies… should have checked simple stuff before stating a thread. High idle at startup and restart after engine hot was caused by choke not getting 12 volts. Re wired to 12v switched source and choke plate is now opening.
