It all comes down to personal preference as to what year you like the best. Once you have decided that, then search for the one in the best condition, color and options you want. Early Gen c3s will be the most expensive over all. The later gen c3s will be the least expensive, with certain exceptions. C3 parts can be a little taxing to find, but are still available. And most of all use this site for advice and part searching and technical assistance. Good luck and by all means keep us posted. 🇺🇸🏁

Any yr is fine...as said pick one you like the looks of, do your research and buy the nicest one you can possibly afford.
Cheap fixers are the most expensive vettes. Take someone with you that really knows them they got their quirks and without that know how with you its easy to buy a shiny turd.
