Default Speedometer Cable Routing

So I'm putting my 68 dash back together...... When the cable comes thru the firewall to the speedometer, does it go behind the clutch & brake pedal or in front of them ?

And another question....I have a heavy, probably a (12 ga) orange w/ black stripe wire that is currently laying inside of the car. I think it might have gone thru the firewall somewhere to what I think is circuit breaker mounted on the firewall under the fender by the brake booster Does someone know if I am correct ? And what it's for ? I can't find any circuit breaker on the AIM drawings !

I had mine above and in front of the pedal mounts so the movement of the pedals doesnt abrade the cables. Since then they have been eliminated and I went electric tach and GPS speedo due to the poor quality of the cables we are getting now

I dont have a circuit breaker on my car. It could be for an alarm system or an add on cruise control...just a lot of guessing here. Where does it begin and end? how does it get its power?

Thanks Rescue.......The orange wire seems to be factory as it is in the dash harness. And the circuit breaker also appears to be factory. This car also has a key switch by the rear of the drivers door I'm guessing is some sort of alarm but don't think it has anything to do with the heavy orange wire ! I guess I will just keep putting this car together and in the end see what works and what doesn't !!!! Thanks again for your input !

OK Rescue....I figured it out. The orange wire and circuit breaker are for the power windows. It goes from the circuit breaker to the E-Brake area where the window switches are located !!!!
