Default Radio capacitor ?

I have a '78 that I am in the beginning phase of switching to a Gen V LT1. I pulled the L-48 out and discovered that at some point in the past , I pinched a wire under my distributor.

I think it it is the radio suppressor, but not sure. Attached are a couple of photos. It is a white wire once it goes into the loom harness, but is black/yellow from exposure in the engine bay

The White Wire is the signal wire to your tachometer.
That is not a capacitor it is a filter that squares the signal to the tachometer.
You should have plenty length of wire if you decide to repair the damaged section.

Thank you for the quick response. Since I am switching over to the LT1 engine, I will have to do research on where to attach that wire in the new harness.
Thanks again.
