Took her out for drive last night.
No more problems with the lights going on and off. The added ground wire solved the problem.

More Issues
It appears that I have another issue with the left headlight besides the ground.
There is enough slack in the mechanism that the headlamp assembly bounces some.
It appears as a flicker to oncoming traffic.
I need to know what part may tighten the headlight assembly, so that it sits still.
I'm not ready to pull the assembly out of the car to fix it.
I'm looking for a quick fix that I can do on the car.

I only found the stops that go on the outside of the headlights. I adjusted those. The adjustment didn’t effect the movement of the left assembly. So I’m thinking some type of bushing may be worn.
