Default 1971 LT1 Items

Hi All -

Recently picked up a 1971 LT1, had to replace the coil, struggling to get the screw back into the fitting - how far down in the fitting should the coil go (I.e. should it be touching the body of the engine or not) and any tricks on how to get the screw to tighten? Once the coil is in seems impossible to tighten, and trying to push the coil in with the screw pre-tightened seems to be a fruitless task.

Any tips / tricks would be appreciated!

1-I would look at the AIM and make sure you have the correct screw and bracket. 2-Is the coil a repro, if so it may be larger than original. 3- I don’t believe it should touch the intake.

Reproduction coil bodies are larger then originals. Hence the clamp screw will not work.
