All, I have a 79 L-82. I pulled the center gage cluster to replace the clock and found the circuit had been patched and was in bad shape. I ordered a replacement and then voltmeter gage stopped working followed by the oil pressure gage and now the temp gage. I didn't take ant pictures of where the Resistors were installed. I have a Blue, Red, Green and Yellow. Does anyone have any advice as to that I should do to? I hope I haven't fried the gages. Pictures would be a great help.
I just redid my center gauge cluster. I did take a few photos to post up on here. I looked and no photo I have clearly shows the resistors. I thought they were all 90 ohm resistors. I could be wrong. My original printed circuit board is still in very good condition so back on it went. I haven't even driven the car yet. But have tested gauges and all seems O.K. so far. but not wanting to remove the center cluster again just for photos. Have you looked at Wilcox help videos? I know Wilcox has shut down but there help videos are still online.
Thank you for the picture. I am no electrician, but I just did ohms check and found that if I touch the red (+) probe to the power stud on the clock and the black (-) to the metal case it beeps. which, I would think there is a short to ground?????
Please correct me if I am wrong. they clock works but it runs fast.
Yes, I have watched the Wilcox video that shows him replacing a circuit board. That helped a little. My original circuit board was a mess and the precious had actually soldered spots on the circuit board.

You need to isolate one side of the resistor from the circuit board to get a good reading on it.
I ordered and just installed a new circuit board from Corvette mods. No change. But I also noticed that my Tach is pegged out with and without the ignition on. and now my generator light remains on with the engine running. really frustrating.
