Good day, I would like to request to join the party with ya all, and a thank you in advance! Looking to share ideas, information, and dreams. Currently working on a long-time wish list car project. We have had this car in the family for 34 years and now it's time for an upgrade. 20 years ago, we did an aluminum head 383 but it was crippled by crossfire fuel injection and regulations, but now it's 40 years old and qualifies for our state's exemption, mile restricted regulations, so, time for modern technology.
It is getting a new 570HP LS7 crate motor, Vintage Air, Decoda digital dash and a new dual exhaust system. I did a 69 Camaro with these items and helped a friend with his C2 LS7 so now it's my turn. I was not sure if I wanted to share the details of the build but if I can help anyone through my mistakes and or accomplishments its available on YouTube, working on vid 8, I'll just need to see if I can post a link on here? Have a great day!
Ok, will do, got 8 videos up so far after the above video part 0, got the fuel system done, engine and trans mounted, homemade exhaust done, doing a complete custom wire harness, just received the Vintage air kit and will be doing a vid on that. Been schooling myself up on the Holley Terminator X max system. The wait on parts has been crazy. awaiting the radiator and Decoda digital components.
Saw your colors flying in the background.

I do know that it was not designed for this amount of Tq and do expect something to give, so I am going to tape a wood block underneath the gas pedal.........just kidding, with the 383 stroker I had in there before it would break the tires loose on the 1-2 shift so my running theory is as long as I keep the same tire combo is should last a little while, then I may need to sell something else to purchase the Ride Tech 9" IRS system.....or looking at doing a 4 link solid 9" but I do like the way this thing handles in the twisties so, undecided. This is a streetcar and nothing too crazy, no drag racing. It does have a 2 1/2" driveline with solid cross bearings and I just did a driveline loop to keep it from saying Hi if it decides to fail. If it breaks something, I'll be sure to share the carnage. In another one of my videos, I show my friends C2 with the Toms 12 bolt modified diff and huge half shafts, we had to mod the coil over trailing arms to keep his half shafts.
