That is super COOL! be sure to post some vids on YT for us to see this thing in action!
I most definitely will, very excited! The tq converter gets delivered Tuesday. Very busy with work right now so hoping to get it dropped in the car in a few weeks.
my first car was a 1969 fiat spider with a 4 cylinder. I restored it and thought it was fast with the 5-speed because I could "chirp" second gear and drive 120 mph with a bit of a tail wind . I pretty much floored it all the time.
I don't think you should use that driving stile with your new motor. Just my personal opinion. You might disagree, lol.
You will have a hard time finding anything better than these. I've shattered the stator and ripped up all the furnace brazed fins on a so called super TC. Transbrakes really test TC's. I had one sawn in half to see what went wrong. Funny thing was that i threw half of it in the garbage and the stator half I kept at the house shop to show people only to find out that it had a year unconditional warranty. Like I could have got a new replacement, not that I would ever use it again.

Classic Vigilante purple! They are good and very well know and used in the Turbo Buick world. I looked at them when I built my last Grand National. I ended up using one from PTC and they have been all I’ve used since. This one should hold up as it’s spragless and they tell me they have plenty of customers using them with 1,000 plus hp combos.
finally got this thing set in for the last time, I’ve had the engine in and out about 10 times, playing with engine mounts and firewall clearance issues. Had to message the fire wall some more next to the brake booster to clear the covers. Once that was done I had the headers on and off about 15 times, had to clearance the frame multiple times to get things to fit.
Now it’s finally set in, trans and all is hooked up and headers are bolted up. Just need to start wiring and plumbing. Getting much closer.
Looks good is that the march pulley set up I have them in both my cars .
yes sir, I should have ordered the engine less the accessory drive setup, I had to switch everything because the long water pumps just won’t work in this car. I thought I could get away with it because I had a long pump on my sbc, I figured I would just notch the crossmember but it wouldn’t clear the fan setup. So I ordered the March kit and now have to use the type II power steering pump with the remote reservoir. No big deal really but I’ll have to get some hoses made.
im really happy with how it looks as I wanted a serp belt setup on the car. It’s getting closer, hopefully another few weeks of plumbing and wiring and she will be ready to run!
Just a general question, but why the 582 over the 572. Apologies if the answer if obvious. Looking to go Skip White big block myself.
I have a TH350 by JakesPerformance.com built to handle 750hp and will most likely go 4L80E or Tremec Magnum 6 Speed. I would also go solid rear differential.

the simple answer is more cubes=more power! I contemplated a lot about building an SBC pro charged engine or a BBC with a 8-71, I wanted some real power in the car. But what I wanted more than anything is a very simple setup that made really good power and ran on pump gas. The only way to get there is more cubes. I’d have gone bigger if it would fit in the car without too many issues.
I believe his 582 is a standard size block, while the 572 is a tall deck block......there would be fitment problems.
so SW uses the new Dart Big M, you can go 572 or 582 both with the sam block, standard deck 9.80. This was an easy decision for me because I didn’t want to fight major fitment issues.
