Looks like parts consolidation. If you need a 6487530 to show number correct. look at after market numbers V160, V173, V178. Some may have the right angle connector shich you can remove, if you do not want the angled connector. Standard ign shows the V173, 6487532 to be correct for the Corvette exc special high performance and V160 for special high performance. (I guess that a 1973 special High Performance is refering to a L88 from any preivous year.)

Most likely the part number was superseded at some point.
June of 1982 Corvette Parts & Illustration Catalog lists 1973 (EXC. SP. H/PER.) part number GM #6487532.
I don't know if this is the case with your specific PCV, however, it's not unusual for AIMs to specify a part number that was only available for assembly line use whereas over the counter parts carried a different number.

kinda like the unobtainium yellow pcv in 79.. New My version
Per this website (I recommend saving as a FAVORITE) 6487530 was a Clamp? Per the same website 6487532 is a valve. But you can that 532 replaced 532 within the text.

As the yellow-bodied PCV illustrates, GM would specify parts for SERVICE vs. PRODUCTION. Tires the same same thing (later C3s) when the TPC label (Tire Performance Criters) was used on OEM tires.
