3972110 intake question
3972110 intake I have this intake im going to sell soon apparently its a 70 only lt1 intake my question is were they only offered in aluminum bare or were any of them painted orange from the factory. this one is orange and before i start cleaning it and bringing it back to aluminum id like to know if not ill leave it orange. ive had it for 30+ years so dont even remember where i got it.

Take it to a machine shop where they work on aluminum heads.
They will have a hot tank dedicated for aluminum ONLY parts that will not hurt the original finish.
It will NOT remove much if any of the stubborn carbon deposits.
Usually a 24 hour soak is enough.
