I borrowed a wheel puller form the local parts house to pull the Harmonic Balancer but i realized that crank shaft as a internal thread. so now what. The puller has a larger shaft diameter. I have pulled other harmonic balancers in the past but I don't remember any cranks with internal threads. This is an L82 engine so maybe I have a special puller.

You can't use a wheel puller on the balancer. You use a harmonic balancer puller. See my write-up here with photos. Buy the correct tool to do the job.

It was too many tears past since I tore into a chevy small block. It took me 5 minutes of less to remove the Harmonic Balancer and your info is amazing, thanks again. I can get a Proform replacement for around $90.00 or do I buy the OEM through Corvette Central or another supplier?
