Check Engine Light Code 12
In my '82, I can go for a 5-10 mile ride which takes me up and down hills with no problems. Whenever I come to the end of the ride where I'm not really on the gas any more, like pulling back into my driveway or into a parking lot, the CEL comes on. It's back off once I restart the car, or if I leave it running and start going again it goes off. I checked the code using the blink method and got a 12. A bit of googling and I found a post that says code 12 is everything normal. Should I try to clear the code and then see what happens?

I remember times like that. 
hated counting blinks.
book drove me crazy.
try and get the light on paying attention to conditions and repeat.
wild guess,, temp sensor to ecm.
