I’m looking to buy my first corvette and have been looking for a 70s model and older. Before I buy one I wanted to know if they run we’ll for a while without breaking down or needing parts or if it’s a project car that needs a lot of maintenance and money put into it?
Seriously, generally speaking you get what ya pay for with these cars. Buy a cheap basket case you’ll bleed out money. Find a really good driver that has been well cared for and you keep up in the maintenance and drive it frequently, it should be a fairly reliable car. However, these are 50 yr old cars… you’re going to frequently put money in it.
We’re no different, the older we get the more we break down…
I maintain the crap out of mine. It's old. It always seems to need something.
I like the reference to a 2D. Interesting,
Low maintenance cars are not over 40 years old.
