Tearing everything off the front of the engine to start. Swapping to a serpentine setup. Vortech doesn’t make a bolt on kit for the C3, so having to improvise/fab some of it. A few things will have to be clearanced. The factory hood will NOT fit, so looking into an L88 hood a few inches higher than stock. Had to purchase various parts from other cars, like a Firebird ac/tensioner assembly, a different alternator, long water pump, crank pulley, etc. The factory power steering pump will work, just have to swap the pulley. Went with Vortech’s fuel pump and bypass valve. Only running 5psi to start. Will post more pics as this project progresses.
Look at my build thread, I've already done this. Mine is EFI but same issues. No hood will work if you are using the F-body style bracket that comes from vortec. Also you will need to notch the front K-member to clear the pulleys.
I've since moved onto a boosted LS3 but if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Yup that's what I used same rules apply. Definitely see my thread
Was just reading through it. No prob, didn’t plan on running a hood for awhile anyway. Lol Think I’ve got everything sorted out. The pulleys were more of a challenge than anything. Have everything pulled off the front, and tapping the oil pan tomorrow for the return line.
I would not trust a msd btm boost retard on a expensive engine , I would put car on chassis dyno and find out what it likes wide open and lock it out or set up with around 16 to 20 initial and all in at 2500 rpm and with low compression you don't have to worry about hard starting .
Making progress. Had to notch the K member for the pulleys. The p/s pump pulley has to be removed, then installed on the supercharger bracket, then reinstalled, then the bracket can be installed on the engine. Must be done in that order due to clearance. Thank you to nyciti for the help with the K member!
Good luck with your project! Here's the ProCharger version of what you are doing...
nyciti and I worked on similar projects a few years ago.
I won't be able to help you that much since the two installs - although similar - had some unique differences. The challenges your are working through now - mounting the SC / accessories - were different.
