After replacing my HEI distributor, the motor runs great but the wires now need to be moved around one place - clockwise so the NO 1 and 8 are facing more toward the front of the car and wires route better. Question: Would I also need to rotate the distributor one gear tooth in the SAME clockwise direction? Seems obvious but want to make sure not make another mistake - Thanks!

E-Mail me for my "How to Install your HEI Distributor" paper for the correct HEI installation. HEI distributors are not installed the same as the points distributors, and the plug wire positions are different.

Clarification: I only need to move each plug wire one place clockwise so they route to plugs correctly like the old HEI distributor did. Motor runs perfect, If I moved the wires, then what needs to be done with the distributor to keep timing - thinking to rotate one gear tooth clockwise also? Thx
