Unbolt the two bolts and use a puller to remove the ball joint.

Thanks, and I’m assuming it’s easier to pull it off now while it’s still bolted up top, thanks again.

Those are rivets on the ball joint holding it into the A-arm. That’s how they came from the factory. You will have to cut the heads of those rivets if you want to replace the ball joint.

Replacement ball joints should come with the bolts that replace the rivets.

If you just want to remove the spindle ,whack the spindle with a heavy ball peen hammer where the ball joint stud comes through. It’ll crack it loose from the taper fit. Put the ball joint nut back on a few threads first though so the spindle doesn’t come crashing off.

2 different issues here, you're only cutting off the rivets if you're replacing the ball joint, all you want to do here is break loose the ball joint from the spindle. As stated it's held in with a tapered shaft, all that's holding it on is the fit.

Ok,now I need help,I borrowed some type tool, but think it’s more for ball joints than bushings, but would work except for getting this cross bar out first, does it have to come out one way or the other,or doesn’t matter, does it have to be pressed out.I can get the bushings out with this tool, but the cross bar is in my way. I just did mine the other day. Used an air chisel to work the bushings out from the lip on the outside with the arm in a vice. It's not going to be easy, they are pressed in there pretty good. If you try and use a hammer by hand you will be there for a year. Once you get one side out, the bar will slip out and then you can work on the other side.
I also watched a YouTube video where they burnt the rubbers out and worked them that way, but I chose the air chisel.

Or...You could use them as cores and get some already professionally rebuilt from Van Steel for $559.99 bucks!

Agreed, why just throw money at it. Much better and much more satisfying to repair what you have. And learning a new skill makes it even more rewarding.
throwing money at it???
Nahhh.

When I did mine I used the air chisel also but first I drilled out all of the rubber bushings with a few HF throw away drill bits till the rubber was all out.
If the arms are in good shape no need to replace them, just rebuild.

Nahhh.
The skill was learned about 35 years ago, on 4 different Corvette builds.....Been there, done that...
Now at 63, it becomes a matter of time / money management.
I could do it myself but am I saving money?
Well, here is just a quick time / cost analysis..
First, put a value on your time...
I make $75 per hour on my regular job.
Lets say it takes 4 man hours to break down 4 A arms. (Sounds simple, but time yourself and rate your frustration factor)
My labor would be worth $300.00
Then I have to have them blasted and powder coated. $50
Then I have to buy the ball joints and bushings for uppers and lowers... $200 for the front end rebuild kit with shipping...
Then add the time to install the ball joints and bushings... Another 4 man hours...$300.00
So I could do it myself and spend $850 worth of time / money and have the frustration / satisfaction...
OR
Spend $600 for a professional job, with warranty. ZERO frustration, but no less satisfying...
Also, the 8 hours of time NOT spent rebuilding the A arms, is time I can spend doing something else.
If you do this analysis for all aspects of the restoration, you will find this is the difference between a 3 year project and a 1 year project...
But...I am all for learning...Sometimes that learning costs "tuition"....That tuition is time and money.
At 63, time is more precious than money. Less time spent in the garage is more time enjoying the drive...Spend wisely...
