I am running a 4L60E in my 81 using the G-Force crossmember. You can run true dual exhaust system but you do have to run it down the passengers side under the seat. Here is how I did mine. There is enough room to run it through the crossmember and make the turn before getting to the drivers side floor pan.
Clever!
But an 80 like the OP's wouldn't have the large bump to clear a power seat, would it? Mine doesn't.
The power seat option had a 72% take rate in 81, and likely all floor pans were sized for them. But it was not an option in 1980, AFAIK.

You are correct on the 80 not having the lowered floor pan. The 81-82 had the same lowered floor pan whether it had the power seat or not. I have had two 81's, one with a power seat and one with a manual seat. Same floor pan but used a different set of manual seat brackets than the 80.
Thank you, they do have one but it doesn't have the attachment for the parking brake, might have to buy one and fabricate the bracket, doesnt look very stout by the photo
I did actually email them a few minutes ago but according to Vivid the manufacturer isnt producing it nor taking any future orders, i will see how they respond to my email and keep posted but looks like I can get one from Bowtie if not... I will fabricate if needed

Dang that isn't good. Let us know what you find out.
I will give an update tomorrow after talking with Gforce
Correct me if I am wrong but if memory serves me the 2004R using the same mounting location as the T350 right? If that is the case then try here. They show t have 2 in stock.

thank you... no the 2004r mounting is about 7" further back from the th350... its actually at the end of the transmission but on the 79 and earlier C3s you can remove the th350 mount bracket off the crossmember and the 2004r bolts to the bracket bolt holes on the crossmember

I knew the 700R4 and 4L60 was longer regarding the mounting location but thought the 2004R was the same as the T350. I looked on the G-Force website and they show the one for a T400 and 2004R are the same.

I corrected my above post and see what you are saying. Looks like they are showing backorder unless there is one floating around somewhere.
You can see the bowtie overdrives crossmember WITH the parking brake pulley bracket at about the 3:20 mark on this video and he discusses it at the ~5:10 mark. I posted it earlier but may have gotten lost in all my babbling:

Yeah. I found that video when I was looking to see if I could adapt a cross-member with pass-under exhaust to my manual tranny 68. I called them but they didn't have any available the day I called so I started fabricating my own......
anyway, here is a link to the bowtie folks. not sure what the difference is between the 68-79 and the 80-81.
