Default Steering Arm Recommendations

Does anyone have a recommendation or know where to find stronger steering arms for the stock spindles? I’m getting some flex in mine and trying take out all the flex from my steering as possible. The rag joint will be replaced with a solid u-joint and the steering box will be replaced.

If you watch the video, watch the gap between the tie rod and wheel (red arrow). Yes, the tire does have sidewall flex but it’s not the main contributor.

Can't open your video but have never heard of anyone having this issue. Are you sure nothing is loose?

Maybe it's just an optical illusion, but it looks like your brake backing plate is turning before your wheels. Are your hubs adjusted correctly?

It looks like the bolts in the picture are loose.

Also, they are the self locking nuts, so maybe it was rebuilt and they may have been re-used one too many times?

That doesn't look like a stock steering arm, but rather a flat steel bar. The stock arm won't flex like that unless the bolts are loose.

I’m not feeling any “clunks” in the steering from loose bolts, but I can check. The steering arms have never been taken off (100% stock), so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were rusted on.

There should be a gasket there as well. Jerry
