I’ve been really pleased with the work I had done by Blair but found out they only rebuild the steering valve and not the ram and pump. My goal is to rebuild and use my components as they came on the car. Any recommendations for high quality rebuilds on all three components?

I think the ram rod needs to be smooth and still have chrome otherwise it may leak scratch seal.

I can tell you its not a hard job. I tackled rebuilding all three when I bought my car like 14 years ago. I had no experience doing so.

 

The rod is easy but one thing you need to be aware of........most original high mileage steering rams leak when the steering is at center because the shaft actual wears in the center position from the millions of movements it gets just going straight down the road......
Visually inspect the ram at this position.....if there is any visual wear at all....toss it, it will always leak no matter what you do.
