I'm sure someone has already broke ground on a LS-Swap for this generation, does anyone have issues they may have ran into ? And love to gear your success story along with your comment.
Thanks My 74
Why? Your car looks nice, drive it while you source a nice crate engine. Yeah, yeah I've heard all the LS stories and maybe they are gifts from God, but really. Lots of things to change, computers to deal with and who hasn't seen a LS in a C3? Nice old school engine just looks better. Want an LS? Just buy a C5.
Geeezz, lots and lots of people have dropped LS engines into C3's. Plenty of threads on here. One running right now, budget LS swap.
Shouldn't be very difficult to find information on the topic.
If the search engine on this forum isn't working well for you try a Google search. Most hits will point you back here.

2 main issues doing an LS Swap.
1. Fuel Delivery
2. Accessory Drive System.
1. requires different electrical pump system, best in tank pump, tank with baffle system etc. Factory gas lines for LS expect driver side fuel line path.
2. Depending on the crank dampener position on the LS engine 3 possible options, each has it's own issues. Clearance from control arms or air intake routing, type of power steering pump, etc.
then gas pedal ? drive by wire or cable. Drive by wire is most modern options, GM Computers expect this option. Not fun to install.

I took my number matching L48 in my '74 and totally had it machined into a 4 bolt splayed block with steel crank, roller cam, roller solid lifters, full roller rockers, screw in studs, higher spring rate valve springs, massive port and polished heads with flat top pistons with reshaped ping rods, also sent the Quadrasuwer out and had it tuned for 500hp. It went from the 195hp brick to 450hp and likes the 6,000 rpm spints now. Also I installed a 3200 rpm 9" stall converter and dropped the rear gears to 3:55.
You open my hood and it still looks stock. Wasn't trying to build a race car, and by no means is it the fastest thing on the block but it sounds good, looks good, an with the extra 200hp is way more fun too
I know I could get another 100hp if I chucked the factory intake, heads, carburator and exhaust manifolds but I enjoy the stock appearance and it's a real sleeper
I did the LS swap into my 74, if you decide to go that direction (it is your car) do lots of reading. I bought an 06 gto ls2 with 4l65 trans. Which required an oil pan change. The accessory drive is from March. The fuel system is an in tank pump with the fuel regulator in the engine bay (if I had to redo it I would use the vette filter regulator combo). The ecm, tcm and peddle came with the motor and I did the wiring mods myself (the ecm from the gto is a 2yr only so do some reading on that). As for the cost it's not cheap but cheap and corvette don't belong in the same sentence.
