Default 15" 200S wheels, C3

Does anyone know the the new two piece American Racing 200S daisy mags clear the stock C3 4 pistons and rotors?

What about wilwood D8-4s?

I keep getting a no answer from American Racing, and Im somewhat in disbelief.

They keep pushing 17" or the TTD with less desirable spacing and width for me.

Is this really a thing where the only hope for Daisy mags on a C3 is finding rare older 1 piece wheels?

Thanks.

Did you look at these, identical width, diameter, backspace, and offset as stock wheel

Thanks. I believe the 420 and 402 are the same 200S wheel, just one is fully polished, and the other has the grey center.

The question would apply to both. Do either of those new 200s Daisy mags fit the C3?

Thanks again for your help.

I don't know for sure, but I doubt it. I have American Racing Torque Thrusts that I got from Corvette Central, and the story from them was that they were getting them specially made or modified to clear the Corvette brakes. I suspect the 200Ss would have the same issue.

Thanks. Im gonna contact them

Talking to American racing is almost like talking to brick wall. Yea, they dont care about that market segment, nor the admiralbe history of older american racing products - how about some 20"s? Lol.

Possibly they should change the name to Chinese Racing? There are a set of original Daisies in the For Sale section, but not stock size.

200s installed in 1973. Bone stock suspension. No mods to wheels or use of spacers.

Awesome!

Thats exaclty the wheel I want, but I cant confirm that American racing screwed up the 200s, and nownthey dont clear vette brakes. The sales person at american racing said they dont clear. I really want to see this for fact. Theyre around $2k for the set, with no returns, so I need to know.

My 15x8 and 15x10 cleared the brakes without a spacer. But they're from 2006. I can't speak to any changes over the last 18 years.

They are two piece which allowed me to get a custom offset to stuff 10" in the stock rear bodywork.

Yes that does look killer. Maybe Discount Tire can get them and test fit them. I'd bet A.R. will allow a return from them.

That would be nice, but from what I've read; because I theyre custom offsets, there's no returns.

It's worth a call to Discount; I wanted larger than stock tires on my lowered 2022 Maverick. They had no problem installing them and testing for rubbing before I bought them. If they are two piece wheels, they are "kinda custom", but just bolted together...

Im under the assumption theyre welded. These arent mine. I was trying to find a pic to determine the inside barrel dimension. The individual at American Racing says 13.1". Im kinda thinking that cant be right.

I'd still give Discount a call. Worst thing they can do is say no.
