Got it, that’s a fairly low clearance. Do you find that they scrape at all? And is your car at a stock ride height?
this was mine stock height I believe about 6”. My car is lowered now but I just swapped to a VBP rear spring so I have to get the car on the ground and see where it’s at now. Pretty sure I was around 5” or so with the lowered stock 80-82 fiberglass spring with a 9” bolt at about 8”.

Got it, ok not horrible actually. The first photo made it look at lot worse. I’ll be lowing mine as well so probably around the same clearance. Maybe I’ll try to find a header with a bit more clearance.

Yea, the pics are always missleading. I drove the car 2.5hrs with a lowered soft stock rear spring and it never bottomed out. I'm currently running the same cut 550lb front springs (bilstein B8 sports all the way round) and a VBP 360lb mono composite rear spring on 8" bolts. I might have to swap to the 9" bolts once I get it on the ground as the stock composite spring was really soft. I'm lowered about 1-1.5". And I'll post a pic of the ride height. No idea what the rear is now until I get it on the ground which should be soon.
For headers your gona have to PAY or figure something out. I have two sets 82-92 Fbody racing innovations headers which fit very tight and high to the body (almost perfect). I also got speed engineering C10 LS swap headers and they fit good too except the pass side would be hard to pipe without a slight bend down. They were also higher than the firebird headers but I didn't run them as I felt the firebird headers where a better fit.

Car looks awesome and the ride height is perfect.
Where are y’all getting these 9” and 10” bolts?! Took me forever just to get an 8”, I can’t find anything longer for the life of me!
Interesting, I’d think lower profile tires would deflect less. I’ll keep that in mind!
They do. I should have said the 15" tires deflect more than you think, and 9 or 10" bolts put the ends of the spring, and bolts, in the danger zone. It's much less of an issue with 18" wheels.

Thank you. I believe I did 3/4 coil removed from the front and the back was 9" bolt threaded to about 8". It was alittle low in the rear with the soft rear spring so I looked for a stiffer spring and I will adjust to get that height again. I think I have a .5" difference front and rear rake.
10" grade 8 bolts can be found on ebay look for C4 rear spring bolts. BDE makes a kit for 9" which is what I ran bc it came with poly bushings and special washers/nuts. https://www.bde-systems.com/corvette...cups-14pc-set/

Be careful running longer than 8" bolts before you convert to 18" wheels. The tire deflects more than you think.
correct, I forgot to mention this. Its also if you get a flat the longer bolts will dig into the pavement as well. This is why I'm trying the 8" bolt first.
Just got the car back on the ground last night. With the new VBP 360 rear spring and 8” van steel bolts at the lowest I’m sitting at 27 3/4” rear height and 27 3/8” front height with cut 550lb front springs. Then measured the exhaust to ground height and I’m at 4” with the 3”‘exhaust. If you had 2.5” you would save another 1/4” with the exhaust alone.
