Welcome to our forum. As stated above. Everyone has a opinion on oil. There have been countless threads on the subject. Many very, very long ones.
I would suggest you look for a oil formulated for older cars with a fairly high level of ZDDP , zinc for your vintage flat tappet cam.
As per weight, that really depends on your climate.
Some run as thin as 10W-30. I run 20W-50.
You will run what is correct in your climate I would think.
I use Genuine AC Delco filters. Others have there favorites .
drain the oil out the bottom, put the new stuff in the top.

I bought my '76 new & I've only used Valvoline & AC filters from day one.

Ran 20W-50 racing until Maxlife came out. Switched to 10W-40 around 60k...
