i recently found on copart a 1981 vette that was wrecked and im thinking of buying it. But i have some questions the engine does not look factory. I have no pics of stamps or anything but i have a photo of it if anyone might be able to have a clue. I would probably be dropping it into mine, so im also wondering if itll mate with my manual. I think it will since it looks like an SBC with the four bolt covers, but i wanna be sure. Any help maybe getting a clue of what this engine is would be greatly appreciated.
Could be any Gen 1 SBC ever made, no way to tell from that photo. Most likely a 350 since there is no oil tube on the front. If you are only buying that car for the engine then it had better be cheap.
I dont want this just for the engine. I want it for the interior the t tops and the bumper on the back the engine would just be a plus LOL. But copart charges an arm and a leg in fees so im probably not doin it anymore.
