Wires identification help please-cut
Thanks for the help so far.
I have two wires that exit the main harness on the engine side of the firewall. They both leave the main harness as a group. Previous owner cut them and left them.
One is black. The black is thicker and longer. Black never shows power.
One appears to be yellow. The yellow is thinner. Yellow shows power in the start position and shows power when engine is running.
Some notes. Previous owner ran a wire for the choke on the carb from the IGN spade in the fuse box.
I have looked at a few wiring diagrams but cannot find where the stock wire for the choke is on an any diagrams.
I have a few other problems to solve but i dont think these wires are related-Heat, clock, wiper door(although I am close here)
Could this yellow have been an original choke wire? What about the Black
I have a series of pictures here that start close up then I move away to zoom out.
I have not been to a car show that has a 68-72 corvette. If i see a car, i will know exactly where these wires were to go.
Thanks
.. What yearFrom a 72 there were not many options for yellow wires. 12v starter/points and the wiper/washer motor & pump

Here's the YELLOW wire on the schematic:
Page 2 FYI:
Didn't your '72 originally have a divorced choke?
The PO might have added an electric choke, and that wire will go from the IGN terminal in the fuse box to the terminal on the electric choke.
