I was just looking in the Jegs Catalog. It says the Dynomax Headers are JetHot coated as well. The price is alot less than Hooker - $224.99.

Gotta think this over.

Yeah, my only problem is, Dynomax does not make a header for a big block!
Everyone says the Dynomax are great!

I have had my hedmans for 13 years. They are the 2 inch pipe. When I got them I installed them and other then the oil sender unit nothing has to come off. The car is on jack stands the and headers fall in or out.
I did have problem with where the collectors pointed so with a chop saw I cut the collector in two along a straight section and on a slight angle. I reinstalled the header then held the cut of collector and flange against the header and slowly rotated it until it pointed to exactly where I wanted it to point, marked with a scrip the location, removed the header and tig welded the collector back together. It was a simple job and now the collector points to where I want it to.
You can see the weld inside the collector just back from the flange. These headers are 13 years old and have been wrapped all their life with this same wrapping.

My headers are about 4 inchs of the ground (if I put my foot under them I can get it in as far as my arch) I don't have any problems getting over stuff as long as you take it slow. I do have to pull into my drive way on an angle that keeps the headers from scraping, but thats the only place I have had a problem. I get over speed bumps in parking lots, railroad tracks. The primary tubes on my headers are 2 1/8 inch.

And remember nothing sounds like those four inch pipes

This thread has completely discourged me from buying Hooker Super Comps. So, now what?
There is some confusion in this thread. If I may, I will summarize:

The 1-7/8 big block Super Comp Hooker headers can reduce ground clearance significantly, and there seems to be some inconsistency in Q/C. This is not referring to small block headers, or the 2-1/8 big block Hooker side mount headers. And it is doubtful that the 2-1/8 big block Super Comps (undercar) will even fit at all.

The ground clearance issue was the main reason I decided to hold off on these for now.
