Bilstein shocks against frame
My newly installed Bilstein heavy duty shocks are right up against the frame. Before I installed the shocks I replaced the original struts with Van Steel poly adjustables. I had to play with the adjustments to get them to line up with the shock brackets but now the shocks housings are up against the inside area of the frame. The car is still on jack stands because of all the other work I am doing. I do plan to have a qualified alignment shop to dial in the correct settings but it makes me question why these shocks are that close to the frame. I have decided to leave the trailing arms alone for now, anxious to get this back on the road and crank up my rebuilt L82 engine./ BW T10 4 speed.373 Gear

I run Bilstien's. I'll try to get a look at mine. Never thought I had any kind of issue however.
When you installed your strut rods did you maybe adjust them way out? As in longer than the originals?

Something isn't making sense you had to play around with the adjustments to make your Van Steel shocks line up? There are no adjustments. The F41 Cars use a different lower Shock mounts as the factory F41s had bigger diameter shocks. So You might try them providing your car did not come with them. I assume that this is all about the rear of the car and not the front.
